IDEO Shanghai is in search of a Senior Marketing Lead who will collaborate with location leadership, the local design community, the global marketing team, and other partners to define, communicate and amplify IDEO’s mission and offer in China.
A Senior Marketing Lead makes the biggest impact by generating higher brand visibility and esteem, creating productive conversations with organisations seeking new growth and impact, as well as enhancing and protecting IDEO’s brand equity in the market.

Pill Pack: An IDEO startup-in-residence. We helped build a venturing strategy for its prescription home-delivery system. IDEO refined the company’s brand vision, strategy, and identity across channels and used this framework to redesign PillPack’s website and private dashboard for customers.
Hunter Gatherer: The challenge was to help incubate and launch Hunter Gatherer, a restaurant and retail space built around a trustworthy supply chain, from farm to table to grocery shelves. IDEO helped design every aspect of the organisation, from its business strategy to its restaurant and retail space, brand and positioning, human resources, and marketing. The restaurant and grocery store opened in October 2014, and plans are in place to open 40 new locations throughout China.
We are looking for someone who has at least 6 years of experience in a Marketing or Brand Communications role, likely from public relations firm a focus on corporate communications, or an in-house Marketing Communications role in a creative agency or professional service firm. The ideal candidate will have a sophisticated understanding of how to use brand, marketing and communication as tools to make new markets, create and sustain relevant social and in-person networks for IDEO in China, and have a proven track record in doing so.
